The device does not do well when current is on the line. If you are troubleshooting power faults with suspect current on a ground system it’s worth the extra cash to buy the Fluke 1602 FC. If you don’t have the cash for that then pick up a Tri-Field meter like the EricKhill ER-02 to measure for excess EMF on your ground lines this will let you know you have dangerous levels of current on the ground!
