I bought this clamp to replace the ridiculously weak/cheap clamp that came with my eBay sourced 3" > 2.25" downpipe for my 2008 MKV 2.0T FSI VW GTI.The bolt is MUCH stronger and the threads don't strip out like my original clamp's did upon tightening. The quick release feature made it easy to open and slip over the downpipe without fully backing the nut off of the bolt.I was able to easily tighten the clamp and mate the two pipe sections of my downpipe together with a good seal that doesn't leak.
