As the review in French states, the quality is not high and it didn’t really work out of the box, but the price is low and with some mods it’s functional. Thus, 3 stars. The problems are mostly visible in the listing pics, which are accurate:- The clamping gap is too small, optimized for about half the thickness of a typical bass drum hoop which is at least 3/8”. I had to do some bending on the clamp piece and enlarge the clamping bolt hole.- The clamping piece that bears on the inside of the hoop has no curvature to properly fit inside the round hoop. Again, I bent the clamping piece to put slight angles on the ends, pic attached.- The L-rod doesn’t quite fit in the holes. I mean, it does, it comes assembled, but it’s very tight and difficult to get out. The other review mentioned this. I drilled the holes out just slightly.- The L-rod is aluminum, which I found surprising, but it seems adequate for my small cowbell. Assembled pic attached. This is going on my at-home practice kit, as I have a bigger cowbell with a different mount for my gigging kit. This cowbell is tiny and kinda cheesy but will be fine to practice with, and this mount is fine. It would probably be fine for a bigger ‘bell also, but I didn’t try it.So all in all, the price is right but it required a lot of fiddling. I’m a garage guy and kinda like fiddling, so that was OK. Once modified, it seems plenty sturdy and gives nice adjustability.
