From the Manufacturer The new KR3.540 40-inch K Body REVO Fixed Jaw Parallel Clamp 2-Pack from BESSEY offers some 30% more clamping force, and newly-designed pressure caps and work-piece contact elements also protect the work-piece exceptionally well. The Vario K Body REVO clamp enables the head to be adjusted at the press of a button. The new K Body REVO clamp from BESSEY achieves a powerful 7,000 N clamping force – some 2,000 N more than usual. In addition, the jaw face has been increased by 30%. Three removable and glue-repellent pressure caps guarantee work piece protection. Adjustable work piece contact elements prevent direct contact between the work piece and the serrated steel rail under full utilization of the jaw face. The tilting K Body clamp adapter (available separately) KR-AS which is easily pushed on to the clamping jaws enables clamping requirements outside of the 90° range to be fulfilled. The tilting adapter adjusts to the work piece, regardless of whether fitted in a v-shape or at a slanted parallel. I have had the original K clamps now for over 20 years and they are all still going strong. At that time, I only ordered 2 of the 40 inchers. I promised myself that someday I would get 2 more. I have lots of the 12 inchers and 24 inchers, so it has been a while. Well, my recent kitchen cabinet project calls for 2 more 40 inchers, so I went to Lowes and got a couple thinking their price was the cheapest. Got home and went on line only to find out that I could have saved over 12 dollars if I ordered them from Amazon... so I did. I'll be taking the others back. But now, for the review... just like my other K clamps, these perform wonderfully. They stay parallel and clamp evenly. Yes, they have improved the handle but and also slightly larger (wider) jaws, but fortunately, they didn't loose the charm and effectivetiveness that I have grown accustomed to with my orignal clamps. A great item and just wonderful for all sorts of clamping, whether it be cabinet carcases, face frame installs, style and rail panel doors, multiple board glueuips, or gluing up large blanks for lathe work. They are heavy... but that's because they're Heavy Duty work horses. If you have never tried them, and you're looking for some serious clampls, order some. I am sure you won't be disappointed. I love em!!!I’m a professional cabinetmaker and have many of these clamps. They hold the pieces square and are capable of great clamping force. Excellent all around.I have nine of these, in addition to a number of REVO Jr. clamps (I like both styles, by the way). These are heavy and I generally used them only for gluing up panels--I use the REVO Jrs. and F-clamps for everything else. After using pipe clamps for 40 years, these are a nice change. I still have the pipe clamps, but they don't get used very often anymore.I have other Bessey clamps but none of the K Body design. I compared these with the similar type manufactured by Jet. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I was impressed with the quality of manufacture. I am currently trying to find room in my woodworking budget for another pair. Forget what others are saying here, I received 2 clamps, and at the same timeGood deal good valueGreat product ,usefulHeavyduty....I like the rubber handles...it's easy to really torque down without causing blisters like the cheaper wooden handles.....no issues with function so far.....I would recommend these clamps to serious woodworkersSome of the best clamps I have ever owned. Perfect for building cabinets and boxes.Just make sure you get the right size for your projects. Expect them to last for years,They're clamps. What can you say? If they don't work, it's probably your fault.
