I cut out and replaced the muffler in my 2004 f150 (2.5” diameter) and I have no welder to do the mufflers, so I picked these up and was able to swap the muffler without any welding at all! Very easy to work with. If you smell any metal burning after install, do not panic, it is just the new metal from the clamp getting heated up by the exhaust piping, it stops smelling after about one or two days of drivingGREAT ITEM & PRICE!!I needed a way to easily disassemble an experimental exhaust system to change parts and these butt clamps are great for sealing and taking it apart. The quality is easily 4 out of five but I'm not quite to testing stage so can't rate sealing the joint. Much easier to use than the alternative sleeve and U clamps - doesn't dent in the pipe so I get more than 1 try.They work and hold it good but exhaust is still leaking by. Tightend to the max.So far, so goodGreat product but needs one improvement to quiet the slight leak noise and chance for CO2 leak under cabin. There should be a thin SS flap to seal the seam of where the clamp closes. It’s not a big leak but enough to make someone sick or if in traffic worse.Excelente productoI ordered these thinking I was going to need them , turns out I did not but had I needed them these were just what I needed and they are nice for the application I needed them for great service in time delivery very happy with it but still I didn't need them
